Handcrafted

All Tete Nourrie hats are hand crafted, with hand stitching and little to no machine tools. This makes your hat unique and one of a kind.

Tête Nourrie = { head fed } but en français ...

I love to see girls killin it out there doing things that have everyone looking up to them (also, literally looking up cause she’s 6’4) but I HAD to make a hat for @berkeleydawn12 because her confidence can speak in photos and her creativity pulls at my heart strings. If anyone can pull off this hat, it’s her! I highly recommend watching # 12 and all the other girls killin it on @vegasthrill pro volleyball team and look forward to another season of game day fits but now she can keep the head fed! ...

“Stepping stone”

When choosing a name for my lil hat baby business I felt it was a no brainer to incorporate my mom‘s French roots. Being born and raised in Bordeaux, the French culture has always a been big part of my life…and yes I’m mostly talking about butter and baguettes. Oui oui!
Incorporating my last name, Federwitz which naturally gets shortened to “fed“ also seemed like a no-brainer. But how?? Fed in French = Nourrie (to nourish) That’s cool but wait 🤔…in a goose bump inducing realization of fate, flip to my dad’s side. To one of the most influential, special people in my life. Who sat with me at a young age, patiently teaching sewing and embroidery and how to make the most Oklahoma country fried steak with gravy you could make. Who I feel guides me most days through life, even though she’s not with us anymore…my Grandmother. Born Noama Norrie. NORRIE! Spelled differently but sounds the same. And here we are! Meant to honor all the people that have made me who I am. Who encourage me through this journey whether they’re still with me or not. And that is how tête nourrie was born! ✨
